Sick's DBS60 Series, Incremental Encoders

The DBS60 series incremental encoder by Sick is a rugged, versatile device designed to measure shaft position and speed in a variety of industrial applications.

DBS60 encoders are built with a 58 mm housing and compact installation depth, and provide a diverse range of flange and shaft design options to accommodate nearly any factory or logistics application where there is space.

This flexibility is supported by a universal cable outlet, a radial connector, and a TTL/HTL combination interface to reduce product variety.

The versatile design also accepts solid or hollow shafts with different sizing options for each type. Solid shaft encoders accept 6 to 10 mm shafts or 10 to 19 mm shafts. Hollow shaft encoders accept hollow shafts up to 15 mm in diameter.

The DBS60 guarantees precision for low to average demand applications with up to 5000 pulses per revolution and a minimal error limit.

For a long service life, the DBS60 is built in an aluminum housing with an aluminum flange and stainless steel shaft body. Isolated shaft options protect the encoder from high temperatures and overcurrent. And every DBS60 encoder option is minimum IP65 rated for protection in harsh environments.
